Why wouldn’t a question asking for nicknames belong in the Psychology section?
Are nicknames not a Psychological Phenomena? Why do we alter identification for our own convience? What kind of mental identities and schemas form with the use of a nickname? Can a positive nickname not influence one’s behavior positively and a negative, disruptive nickname not emotionally tear one down?
More over, why is someone like smurfette_au2000 so quick to put off a simple question and claim it’s a waste of time when in fact typing a ridiculous response to a reasonable question is a much larger waste of time…
See my other post on nicknames for reference…
Anyone have a solution?
Merely trying to make a point is hardly “worry”.
Perhaps we can conclude that some people are just too up-tight?

Stop worrying about it.
Is it really that important?
Smurfette_au2000 got 2 points for answering your question and maybe she thought that was reason enough to answer what she may think is a ridiculous question.
btw thanks for the 2 points.
nothing against you but, maybe thats all it was and if it wasn’t just call her Rude and that be the end lol.

nicknames are a term of endearment and have a psychological effect on those receiving the nickname. i believe you are correct.
