what is the future prospect of clinical psychology?
I’m interested in getting a phd in clinical psychology, but I am not sure about it. It seems that most people can not afford traditional counseling but rather take meds. Are you a clinical psychologist? Can you share your thoughts on this?

It will remain same I think.
It is not necessary to name the child before it is born. One can name the child even after it is born.
First finish the course.

Its sad, but true. People will always try to take the “easy” way out and fix all their problems with medication. Many problems could be helped with alternative medicine and practices like meditation and therapy.
What this means for you: The job will ALWAYS be in demand.
It all depends on whether you want to change things, or not. You can perscribe Xanax to everyone that claims they’re a little depressed, or you can help them other ways. Personally, I’m not fond of this approach. I think its wrong.
It’d be cool to be a psychiatrist who also knew alternatives to medication. We jump to pills too fast in my opinion.
