What is the difference between behaviorism and cognitive psychology?

Behaviorism deals with observable and measurable behaviors and punishments and reinforcements, and cognitive psychology deals with the thinking patterns that motivate human behavior.

The former deals with idiosyncrasies of an individual while the latter deals with his higher mental processes i.e. memory etc.
