It’s basically a class where you learn to teach educational psychology to others.

Unless you have a masters degree or a doctorate it is fairly useless. Educational psychology focuses on how people learn and the problems that may prevent them from learning. In the United States for example Educational Psychologists with a doctorate and licensed by the state that they practice will administer IQ tests to students, determine the type of tests students will take, and help teachers to run a classroom in which a student has specific problems with learning.

My advice would be to get your doctorate in the field if you want to do anything in the field otherwise consider another field.

The applications of educational psychologists could be many and varied.

In fact, they mostly help only a small portion of all students and often the dumbest in the barrel……

imo, schools wold be much better places if the educational psychologists were allowed to help all students, not just a few of them

Educational psychology is about learning methods and attributes of the learner (IQ, age, etc.). It’s also about psychosocial factors that interfere or help with the learning process or learner.
