licensing requirements vary from jurisdiction to jurisdiction. in a lot of places all you need is a shingle, nails to hang it….and then the fun part…attract a client or two.

think about what background you’d want to see from your therapist and take it from there.

thanks leah, sorry you have to do the “men in dresses” posse work tonight, but thanks for being there. sorry i have posted so much, you’re going to be busy if you have to do it all alone…don’t forget the religious section…i value every “thumbs down” you guys give me. and the work, well, it keeps you off the streets, so that’s good too.

edit: crazygurl. the answerers who are citing specific requirements are ignornant themselves…perhaps if some of them would spend less time hunting down my posts to give a thumbs down and more time actually learning so they knew something about what was in discussion they could give you correct answers instead of “assuming” false ones. as usual i have told you the truth, the wannabees don’t have a clue…and on and on they talk and never take time to learn.

I would suggest talking to one and asking them:

I would assume you would need at least a master degree in psychology, and have studied about gender and sexual issues.

    EDIT

    (SHAKES HEAD IN AMAZEMENT)
