i want to become a child psychologist, but i don’t know what classes to sign up for, or how long this takes.

If you are merely wanting a BA in Child Psychology it will take about 4 years. This is not a degree that will allow you to do clinical/counseling work but will be the first step in the process.
Each individual program is a little bit different. If you are in a university already your best bet is to contact the psychology department and ask them directly (most only have a general psychology program but you would be able to take developmental classes and get a BA in Psychology).
If you are looking to do clinical/counseling work it will take at least 6 years, possibly 8 or more depending on what level of education you decide to go through (Master versus Ph.D versus MEd. et cetera)
As for the classes– talk to a college advisor at your university (or if you are not in a university yet don’t worry about this until you are there).
Best of luck, and if you have any further questions feel free to message me.
