What are the three theories of human nature in IO psychology?

There are three theories of human nature that managers might assume in trying to understand the worker.

Note: This is Industrial and organizational psychology. Nothing to do with computer science I/O.

    You may mean need theories, cognitive theories, and reinforcement theories.

    Do you mean Theory X, Theory Y and Theory Z?

    Theory X: Pessemistic: Workers are out to work as little as possible and will steal from you at the first opportunity unless closely watched.

    Theory Y: Optimistic: Workers are generally good, and do not require constant monitoring to do their best work.

    Theory Z: focuses on increasing employee loyalty to the company by providing a job for life with a strong focus on the well-being of the employee, both on and off the job (text for this section taken from wikipedia article referenced below)
