What are the chances of me getting into Grad school for Industrial-Organizational Psychology?

I’m currently doing my BA at the University of Toronto. My CGPA is 2.61, with sessional GPAs ranging from 1.75 to 3.23. My GRE scores are V 380 Q 480. What do you guys think are the chances of me getting into a Grad school in Canada or the US for Industrial-Organizational Psychology. I don’t have any related research or job experience, but have been an exchange student for one year in Asia. Any chance of being accepted into any of the I-O Grad programs??

    >’”CGPA is 2.61″

    On a scale of 0-4.0?

    >”V 380 Q 480″

The minimum starts at 500 for each (in any graduate program)! With your GPA, you may get accepted with a score in each section of at least 650.

I would suppose that if your family would donate a wing/building to a University, anything is possible!

You are not ready for graduate school, especially in Psychology! I also question whether you should even be in you current undergraduate program. In the current job market, you would be competing with new graduates with a minimum above 3.0.

Do you realize in graduate school, that any grade in any course below a “B” is unsatisfactory. Other graduate students in this discipline usually are pulling at least a 3.5 GPA!

Maybe you can be a travel agent!

Yes there is a chance, but you may have to show work experience first.
Get the related job and research stuff out of the way. IF you can, retake the GRE and gain higher scores.
Are you almost ready to graduate or no? If not, try to get nothing less than B’s when you are in school.

Your chances sound very slim. Depending on what are minimum requirements and who you’re competing against. GRE and GPA are just one of the few things they will look at.
