Thomas Edison’s Principles For Iq
7 Simple Steps for Maximizing Your Intelligence Quotient, IQ
Sri Ram in his book titled ‘an approach to reality’ said that “God isOmniscience, and that Omniscience is active through an infinity of aspect; each aspect sufficiently defined is an Intelligence.”
Invariably, this suggests to our mind that each aspect of human activities in the natural plane is executed with a measure of intelligence that is so potent that it identifies a need, understands the need and then meet the need, either for personal benefit or corporate benefits.
Every person is born with an element of intelligence but one of the reasons we have varied intelligence Quotients among people is because individuals do not maximize and optimize their intellectual prowess.
Researches from psychology show that on the average, only 4% of the huimanintelligence is put use by the majority, possibly 99%. The fact is thatour performance and productivity depend on how we use our minds.
It is to this effect that we have it in a sayong that
Great mind discuss ideas
Average minds discuss events
Small minds discuss people
But,much more better is the fact that great minds are inventors or creators of ideas that provide specific solutions to the needs of humanity. Ideas make the world go round! Now, let’s consider seven steps that make those whom we have branded “geniuses” stand out among the multitude.
1. Do not diversify your mental energies. In otherwords, identify a specific aspect(s) of your personal potentiality and direct your mental energies to developing such. Your effectiveness will surely be convergent on your focus. Let your mental energies be concentrated on a supreme interest that is able to improve, advance, and change your life. Pursue that interest with creative thinking.See, you can only be known as an intellectual in areas of your best results. So, put your intelligence into supreme interest (goal, vision, dream). Task your brain for success!
2. Be progressively informed.Practically, creatrive thinking yields a series of idea as you seek to meet a need. In a way, a quest for more knowledge leads to the modification or adjustment of past knowledge. This step is important because in most cases, ideas do not work in isolation. When you discover an idea, you will have to search out its counterparts tocomplete a cycle of activity. In effect, collation of facts gives a pure perspective to a matter. Seeking is the gate to discovery.”imagination is not enough. Knowledge is necessary” (Paul Scott) Stuff your brain success tips!
3. Be a problem-solver. If you venture intosolving problems that are not associated with your potentiality, you may be frustrated. This implies that you have to take up challenges that will lay a demand on your intelligence. You may not believe it,your mental capacity enlarges when you stick to a problem with the hopeof finding a lasting solutio0n. this exercise may take time but youhave to take the pain to do it. Put your brain to test!
4. Remove limiting factrs. If you want to have an intelligence that is highly performing and functional in aspects of your visions, clear off factors that becloud it. The most commnest is mental laziness. It is an ailmentof the mind such that you find it hard to do an independent creative thinking. In another case, you stuff your mind with junks from the medias, rather than with value-adding stuffs that will help improve your life. Use your brain for good stuff! Another limiting factor is lack of reading culture. Readers are leader. They will lead you, and you will end up branding them a genius. See, what gives you an edge over your contemporaries or competitotors is what you know and apply.
5. Be passionate, whatever does not consume your passion is not worth giving your attention. Passion is the backbone of the spirit (attitude) of persistence. That’s a sure tool that will help streamline and focus your mental energies on a supreme interest that you want to achieve.Passion drives you in the direction of success. Let your brain catch some fervour! It will put your intelligence on a high gear. More so,there is optimism in being passionate.
6. Diagnose a problem.Inarguably, every invention and creation came as result of the fact that there was a problem that should be solved to meet human need. So,identify a need and seek to address it squarely by putting your natural resources to use.
7. Relax your mind. In those days. Activities thatcalls for the use of brain power will definitely improve your intelligence. However, the whole thing also tell on your body. Try taking a mental vacation, so to say, for a while. Play some game such as golf. Take your wife on a honeymoon vacation. In a nutshell, do something that is not tasky for the brain. Let the relaxation of your mind be frequent by trying some moments of solitude or good entertainment. Have you got to a point where thinking for an idea seems hard. Your brain seem shut down like a PC; or your imagination is less sharp? Relax your brain! Take some rest. It will eventually enhance your performance.
So, it does not take a huge parameter of lifeto be a genius where you are now. The word ‘genius’ is a relative term.It is not an absolute for describing “super” man.
A genius is an inventor
A genius is a creator
A genius is a change agent
A genius is a problem solver
Look down the memory lane of history, you would realize that the footprints left behind by those whom we have branded as “geniuses” show the four descriptions.
What more does that suggest to us?
In your activities, if you could be described that way, you are a genius. See,do not be afraid to think yourself a genius. You are not being presumptious, nor exaggerating. You are not trying to overvalue yourself. A genius makes impacts that count to the progress of any place he/she is. The bottomline is that everyone who follows these concepts is a genius in his own sphere of activity.
It is also worth stating that being a genius involves some hardwork that draws out the brainpower for proven results. This is thus in contrast to the general belief that being a genious comes with the ease to do a thing effortlessly. NO. that is not absolute.
You know what?
Thomas Edison consciously or unconsciously used these secrets and became branded a genius, if not the greatest in history. He himself said thus:”Genius is 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration”
- He focused his mental energies on his supreme interests
- He made a discovery of facts and principles by daring to experiment his ideas. By so doing, he became progressively informed.
- He took up challenges to solve specific problems that woul eventually meet man’s need.
- He removed limiting factors such as discouragement, mental laziness, fear of failure and pessimism.
- He was quite passionate about what he was doing
- He identified a basic human need and ventured into meeting them by harnessing his natural intelligence.
- He had a relax mind.
See,it was the 1001th experiment that he conducted in his laboratory that brought electricity to life. The truth is that the 1000 experiments that failed were more that failures, they were a series of ideas that could not work in isolation until they were complemented by the last one!
“When intelligence reaches its peak, it flames into genius.” (Sri Ram)
“Genius is nothing but infinite capacity to absorb pains” (Forlon B.)
Upon whatever you want to set your mind, you must be ready to take the pain to persistently work so as to make achievements in the area of your supreme interest.
Thomas Edison did it.
Albert Einstein did it.
Abrahaam Lincoln did it.
Henry Ford did.
Bill Gates does it.
Barrack Obama does it.
Areyou a student? A business executive? Whatever may be youre present profile, you can turn to be a great mind in your field of activity. You can make it! You can achieve your goal! All you need to do is cultivate the attitude of excellence. They are people like you.
“do you wantto know the great drama of my life? it’s that I have put my genius into my life; all I have put into my work is my talent” (Oscar Wilde)
Dear reader, what would you do too?
