What is the true meaning of friendship? Author Audrey Bussey brings readers to a story about true friendship that bonded together two unlikely animals, a deer and a mother goose in a book titled The Deer and The Mother Goose.
A simple story about what friendship truly means, the author tells the unusual friendship developed between a deer and a mother goose that was abandoned by father goose while feeling helpless and worried for the safety of her eggs.
Bussey imparts to book readers the importance of being able to be friends for others regardless of who they are and being able to stand up for ones friend as well as for ones self no matter what the situation brings.
A very inspirational story, the book gives readers good self-esteem and its about helping somebody who is in need. For the author, true friendship can not only be made up by fur but can also be made up by feathers. Indeed, a true friend would not make fun of their fellow but rather serves as an inspiration for everyone to follow.
