Step By Step receives $1,500 Donation from Meijer, Inc. of Lewis Center as Part of the Nonprofits Annual Fund Raiser to Support Individuals Affected by Autism

Step By Step, Inc., a highly regarded nonprofit autism treatment center in central Ohio, announced today that Meijer, Inc., of Lewis Center donated $ 1,500 for the nonprofit organizations holiday fundraising drive that is designed to bring financial assistance and additional support to area families affected by autism who are in need. The fundraiser has been underway since the beginning of November and has raised about $ 2,000 so far. It concludes Dec. 21.
Step By Steps 2012 holiday drive is part of an effort to recognize the importance of giving to those in need during the holiday season. Step By Step will identify families with a significant need and present them with a gift of financial support.
The donation by Meijer of Lewis Center is incredibly generous, and were overwhelmed by the support from community partners like them, said Michele LaMarche, BCBA, founder and executive director of Step By Step. This gift demonstrates the true spirit of giving, and well be able to help change the lives of several families this holiday season who face the daily trials of autism.
Already in its third year, the drive has obtained donations totaling approximately 200 new items and 500 used items, comprised of clothing, toys and food. These items were collected from a number of businesses, including:
