I want to talk about brain traumas in football but that would be too narrow, so i want to focus on concussions in the NFL, because they’ve been making the headlines lately. I want to narrow my topic
so how do you think i should go about this?

One aspect is that silence on the issue raises risk of injury. Athletic directors need to educate kids.

You could narrow it to HOW they occurred:
colliding with opponents, teammates at practice, grass vs. artificial turf, equipment, etc.
