Q&A: Is there a mental illness connected with VERY often repeating things you say under your breath?

Question by : Is there a mental illness connected with VERY often repeating things you say under your breath?
I know someone who when she says something when she’s kinda pissed or laughing she’ll say something and then immediately repeats it like halfway whispered under her breath…she’s also a compulsive liar and is on prozac. Does she maybe have some sort of mental illness?

With the kind of description you have provided.. yes she might be going through a mental illness.. and the specific thing u r talking bout.. whispering or muttering under her breath.. she might be doing it for attention seeking purposes. she knows.. wen she mutters something under her breath.. ppl will ask her bout it and in turn give her more importance or atleast make ppl think bout her for sometime.. and she does need a counselor.. :)

I have a low level form of OCD. I repeat words under my breath often too. Sometimes a certain word just grabs me and i have to say it to get a feel for it .

Its not a problem just somethign that happens.
