Question by max_fan95: Is medical school necessary for a degree in Psychology?
If i am planning on going to college and want a degree in Psychology. Do i need to go to medical school? I know for Psychiatrist it is because they are allowed to perscribe medicine. But i dont know about for a Psychology degree. Any insight helps.

No, you dont need to go to medical school. However, a 4 year bachelor’s in psych won’t take you far, you need advanced schooling for better paying positions.

    No. After you earn your bachelor’s degree in psychology, to become a psychologist you need to go on to earn a Ph.D. or Psy.D. in psychology and pass a state exam.
