Q&A: if i became a neuropsycologist would i be able to switch to clinical psychology without going back to school?

i want to become a neuropsychologist , but i was wondering if in the future i would be able to switch into clinical psychology. is that possible or would i need further education?

Just do some serious refresher work you should be ok.

    Yes, if you plan ahead: (1) Make sure you take courses necessary to qualify as a clinical psych. on the way to becoming a neuropsychologist. (2) Better: prepare for, take, and pass the test to get a clinical psychologist license. You can do this while becoming a neuropsychologist. A clinical license has a lot of clout these days, even a bit more, I think, than a PhD.
    So, yes, you can have both worlds, be a switch hitter, if you prepare carefully now during college and grad school.

    Maybe, too, become a clinical psychologist, AND get a license, but minor in neuro psychology. Reason: Clinical is more flexible, less specialized, and hence maybe more useful in finding work.
