Q&A: How do I find out the level of prestige of a particular graduate program?

Question by zxnjzb1039@sbcglobal.net: How do I find out the level of prestige of a particular graduate program?
I’ve been admitted to a few master’s programs in psychology and I was wondering how I can tell which is more prestigious or how highly each school is considered in the industry. How would I go about doing that?

US News and World Report ranks psych grad programs as part of their annual grad school rankings lists. They actually rank the top 100 schools, and do sub-rankings by specialty, so it’s worth it to see if you can pick up a copy at your local bookstore, or via the US News website.
