What’s wrong with soliciting your patients for sex? Some people could use the “therapy,” I would think. Hippocratic Oath, man.

ALL human beings have “faults” or “disorders” we deal with on a daily basis.
A degree in any field doesn’t nullify this fact. That would be to say nutritionist don’t eat junk food or cops simply don’t commit crimes. If anything this only again proves our sameness on this little dysfunctional rock we call earth =)

@GaryNull I’m a Christian Psychology and Counseling major and that’s mostly true, but there are some people in psychology who still treat it as a science and have integrety. Not many, but some. As far as drug companies…. they are about as corrupt and greedy as it gets. The DSM is very… well… it can be useful, in some cases, but there are also a lot of disorders that are totally left up to the interpretation of the insurance companies and doctors…

@GaryNull I’m sure some of them are. But there are regular everyday people who are just , if not twice, as twisted.

Sex Addiction? The issue is not addiction. Rather the inability to manage sexuality in a healthy way. Sexuality is not ingestible like alcohol or drugs. When people need help managing their weight they are not told to just stop eating and everything will be fine. They are taught to make better food choices. Sexuality must be managed, and knowledge is the key. Sexual Futurist has some ideas, please see our channel.

@jonathansstewart It’s not fair at all. Even IF all the suspicions where true it tells you nothing about whether a DSM V diagnosis is valid or not. If people want to critique the DSM ( which they are free to do ) they should make statements about the DSM directly and try to defend those. This is simply pure slander.

@florencelovme keep obsessing over this bad idea that all women have a problem with men and sex. You have me buffled. And plz cool down – showing a temper only makes you look more guilty.

@florencelovme (cont.) convict you for asking someone thier gender. what did you say or do that ticked off this woman? why did you even have to ask her that question when I assume it was obvious that she is a female? And why do you keep repeating that she and all women hate sex and that is why you got convicted? Isnt the assault of sexual nature? Because if its not, then why do you (cont.)

@studentoflife01 “Why is it that we have ‘Sexual harassment laws” that have no specific circumstance for sexual harassment in there of? Why is it that I Was Convicted of ASSULT”
I can only assume by your statement that it was a charge on sexual assault. But anyway, no judge in the world would (cont.)

I didn’t say sexual assault, you’re the one making shit up. A COMMON ASSAULT!?! ARE YOU FUCKIN’ ON HERION!?!? WHY THE FUCK IS THAT NORMAL TO GET AN ASSUALT TICKET WHEN YOUR 12 BECAUSE YOU ASKED IF SOMEONE WAS A MAN, OR A WOMAN? You’re out of your fuckin’ mind, get off my back you feminist pig. “Ah, you’d be accused with a common assault”! Are you paying attention to this shit?

the new DMM with some of their new classifications seems to me to make a mockery of the field of psychiatry, but then politics seems to be sticking its nose in many scientific fields and may be even taking the science out of these fields especially in pharmacy and agriculture .Much ofScience has been coopted by the military industrial complex at worst or by political agendas at best..WHO was formed by UN and Codex Alimentarius is a trade agenda and not a nutrition based organization

I love your work–just had to add the last comment in the interest of being objective….The doctor at the end does need to make sure that his patients do not suffer without their meds and it is supposed to be innocent until proven guilty. However , it may be prudent to collaborate with a colleague on both the patients and the meds for the possibility of a guilty verdict.. . I think these stories need more info because a couple of sentences does not constitute guilt or a fair trial

a former patient doesn’t count….in psychiatry , the therapy is by nature , talking about the most personal matters and these doctors would tend to know their patients on an extremely personal nature and on an ongoing basis, also some patients tend to think they might want such a relationship thereby proving to themselves their worthiness and lovableness—not the same as a purely medical ddoctor who by nature and time constraints hustle patients through–
