Psychology Project? Do video games develop/enhance kids’ minds?
Question by Punky_Doggy: Psychology Project? Do video games develop/enhance kids’ minds?
I have to do a research paper for my psychology class and my topic is if video games develop/enhance kids’ minds.
the thing is that i can’t find any sources that can help me prove my point.
do you guys know websites with articles and other research sources that can help me out. they have to be scholarly and stuff like that. nothing like wikipedia
i’ve google it but only random websites with blogs appear

I googled in my pants and I didn’t come up with anything. I am going to go play games now. Who do you think would win? Pac Man or the guy from Grand Theft Auto 4?

some can argue it helps develop better hand-eye coordination.
but it just meeses up kids’ eyes.
and it depends on the videogame. if it’s violent, then its a no-no.

for you’re project, search shlashdot (‘news for nerds’). they always have article about that kind of stuff.
on a personal note, they sure did for me.
When i was growing up, we had a casino game on our computer. I was the best at math in my class until the 7th grade.
Today I find that playing video games the night before an exam helps more than studying (no BS classes either — i study engineering; thanks video games!)
