Psychology + Inferential Statistics?

i am using an independent measures, looking at the differences in gender and memory what type of calculation do i have to use for my inferential statistics Mann-Whitney or Wilcoxon.

Also how do i use these to talk about the significance of my inferential statistic results and rejecting my hypotheses.
