Question by Sarah J: psychology experiment ideas to conduct on primary school children??
I am and undergraduate psychology student, for my dissertation i need to conduct a large scale experiment. I am interesting on doing a quantative experiment on children. does any1 know any novel experiment i could conduct?

yes you can try to investigate what are the factors that the creativity of a child is below the average.

    A good one is placing them in a room full of lollies for ten minutes alone. You tell them before you leave them alone that if they wait ten minutes without eating any they can have some or something like that. You then monitor if any of them wait or they go and get the lollies. Remember that this’ll require consent of the school and parents.

    A simple IQ test, the one psychologists use on children with little pictures, stories and timing of puzzle completion etc would be suitable for children i believe. You could then collect results of all children and place them on a graph, real psychological like.

    Erm.. y dont u show 1 group of Children a video of how chocolate is unhealthy and another group of children a video of other kids eating chocolates and a control group. Analyse how many children pick chocolates on thier way out after watching the video’s from each group. Kind of like a edited replication of the bobo doll experiment by Albert Bandura.
