AP Envio or general psychology?

I’m entering my senior year in high school-and am currently signed up for AP Environmental Science…or just a general psychology course. I have a high GPA, and am enrolled in other AP classes. I have already decided what college I want to go to …and no matter which course I enroll in- I can get through admisssions. I like the AP factor of Envio…but I’m planning on either a major in psych and minor in sociology…or the other way around. I have no intention in continuing on in a career in the field of science- especially Environmental. However- my school only offers a general psychology class (though I do have the option of taking the AP exam in may- and if I enroll in this class- plan…. Click Here to Read More

Should I take the general GRE or the Psychology specific GRE?

I got my bachelor’s degree in December (Psychology Maj, English Min) and want to apply to grad school in 2-3 years. I want to take my GRE within the next few months though, while I am still pretty fresh out of college. I know some schools will require the Psychology specific test, but not all do. I cannot base my decision of which test to take on what school I want to go to because I do not know yet. Should I take them both? Which is harder? Also, are there any jobs in the meantime that I am qualified for, with only a 4-yr psych degree? I would like to get SOME experience in the field before and during grad school, but it is hard to get into without at least a masters. Any…. Click Here to Read More

What they interested is to increase their investments in the companies that give them highest return. They are not interested in crystal ball of market prediction. Market predicts and defines itself. We as traders do not need to predict its movement. All we need to do is to synchronize our actions with the market movements. We need a trading method to do…. Click Here to Read More

The Psychologic Effects of Disaster on Media Personnel

The Psychological Effects Of Disaster on Media Personnel — September 12, 2001  by Dorothy C. Hayden, LCSW Journalists are certainly no strangers to witnessing disasters – floods, fires, earthquakes, transportation accidents and wars – the horrors of Bosnia, Cambodia, Kernova. Witnessing the ravages of Mother Nature and the atrocious cruelty of the worst part of human beings in war can’t but take it’s toll on the people who witness them. The term “disaster” derives from Latin and is translated as “the stars are evil”. And if, indeed, the stars are evil, how are we to live in a world where evil rules? Our normal sense of self-esteem, an exaggerated belief in personal control, high…. Click Here to Read More
