New Thriller Novel Puts Murderers Ax in Innocent Mans Hand

Sacramento, CA (PRWEB) October 11, 2012

Laurie Allisons new thriller novel The Neanderthal Factor: A Murder Mystery (published by iUniverse) asks readers to examine the fundamental question of whether human beings are innately evil, or can they overcome their Neanderthal past?

Nicholas dAbernon has just been found standing over the nearly decapitated body of his boss and future father-in-law, Samuel Wyndham, with a Minoan ax in his hand. The director of the prestigious Wyndham Institute of Arts and Culture is the victim of a grisly murder. There is only one problem Nick didnt do it.

An excerpt from The Neanderthal Factor:

The indictment of murder in the first degree still rang in Nicks ears. At the arraignment he had been dimly aware of the crowd in the courtroom, the commotion outside, and the barrage of reporters questions and flashbulbs as spectators pushed through the heavy wooden doors. Now, with the trial in session, the sound of the gavel brought Nick back to reality. He knew he was on trial for his life. The wheels of justice had been set in motion.

Nick felt as were a spectator observing his own fate.

Allison is sure of her books appeal. Its a fast-paced mystery involving murder, theft, forgery and fraud in the art world, she says, with psychological twists, love triangles and political intrigue.
