Is this explaination for behavior social psychology or personality psychology?
A girl keeps going back to her ex though her treated her badly (rude, cheating, lying, etc). My explaination is that her dad wasn’t there for her and she tends to “bad boys.” Is this explaination an example of social psychology or personality psychology?

Update: My teacher wants to know whether this is an explaination that a social psychologist would come up with or a personality psychologist would come up with. Thanks.

NO. The behavior here is ATTACHMENT. She loves him despite his issues and what he does to her.

Trick question. Social psychology covers personality, attitudes and motivations of a person or group. Personality psychology isn’t a branch of psychology.
