As with everything Jake, moderation is the key!
You don’t have to let porn rule over all your free time, but you don’t have to avoid it all together either.
If you are doing it only once a week, that is far less then most others who would be considered normal and healthy. Just don’t let porn and or masturbation interfere with your normal daily activities, social interactions or responsibilities and you’ll do just fine.

    Hey Jake,

I’m sure you could find all kinds of information on the subject of porn. But it seems you have found a level you’re comfortable with. Same could be said for self pleasuring. As a former adult actor I can tell you that not everything you might see is a reflection of reality. Porn is made for stimulation plain and simple. Just about every scientific study done has found that masturbation is in no way harmful and in fact, has many healthful benefits for all ages and both genders. Just be sure you’re getting to school on time and all your homework and chores done and don’t be spending hours and hours in front of the computer watching porn. That’s just not healthy.

14 isn’t too early to start working on your sexual skill set. And by that I mean get as much honest, accurate information as you can about your body and what it means to be sexual with a partner.
Here’s a couple of really good websites for you to go to next time you’re online. Scarlet Teen or scarleteen.com is a site by and for teens (DUH) and San Francisco Sex Information or sfsi.org Both sites have loads of information about male and female anatomy, sex and sexuality. They also have links to similar sites. There is actually a lot of really good information out there.
Now don’t believe everything you may see here, don’t believe everything your buddies may tell you and don’t rely on myths and half truths when it comes to making decisions about your body and sex.

the only way porn is bad for you ‘psychologically’ is if it’s the bad kind – as in your satisfying a wrong desire ( like beast..). Saying that, as you’re so young, watching too much porn may raise you to view women as sex objects.

As long as you see it for what it is: the women are hussies and the men are male prostitutes, you’ll be fine.

Hey, honestly, it’s completely normal. I mean, you’re a 14 year old boy. I’m sure every boy your age does it.

Now, is it wrong? I don’t think occasional masturbation is wrong. It’s completely natural and healthy. But I do have a problem with porn, because it takes human beings and turns them into nothing but sex objects. While you’re watching it, you forget that they’re actual people. They’re just something to get you off.
I’m not trying to be all high and mighty, I’ve watched porn myself, but I do think it’s bad.
