biological: addiction
learned: Cognitive aspects, plus advertising/promotion by tobacco industry

well biological component is the fact its extremely addictive, a learned component can be the environment, i’e, parents, peers smoke, and a cognitive component can be summat like thinking they need a cigarette to ease stress, the cognitive can link in with the biological really i guess.
