sounds like pretty good preparation for a career in the State Department and our country’s relationship with Japan — aide to an ambassador or something like this.

Yes, it is definitely possible.
It is an odd mix to incorporate into career. Most likely you would use 1 or a mix, but not all.
Japanese would be good for understanding Eastern culture, international business, etc. History – I have no idea other than teaching. Pyschology is great for many different careers, whether it be marketing, sales, business, you name it. Understanding people and how they think can help you in any setting.
The only thing I can think of that would involve all 3 would maybe be some kind of government work. Knowing another culture/language, knowing history well and being able to understand people and get inside their heads..

Why don’t you decide on a job (or a range of jobs) that you would like to do.
Then think of some hobbies you could pick up that relate to these areas.
Then major in just one. You could always minor in the other.
It is possible to major in two or even all three of those things, but you will end up paying a lot more money and spending more time in college than you otherwise would.
Even if you get a degree in just one area, you can always list relevant college courses that you took on your resume if you decide you would actually like a job in a different area.
Keep in mind that you pretty much have to get a Masters in Psychology to be able to do any counseling or teaching. As for the other two, the most likely job you can get with those is teaching history or teaching Japanese. There are other jobs, but those might require another type of major such as travel/tourism or business.
I hope this helps.

Off course AJ you can go for it. But considering double major in history and psychology with a minor in Japanese would be hard. So now what I am telling you to do is consider History as major and Japanese as minor. And go for any psychology online course if you are really want. Many websites provide online courses for psychology with different types of subjects for instance Depression, Mental Health, Eating Disorders, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder any many more.
Major advantage of doing this is you do not need to disturb your regular study and can learn all courses at once means more job opportunities.
