Most, but not all, colleges require the SAT 1 or the ACT. Some colleges also require the SAT 2, which is actually not one test but a group of tests in specific subject areas. You should plan on taking the SAT 1 or the ACT. There are books and courses that can help you prepare for these tests.
everyone is supposed to take the SAT 1 so you can’t skirt your way out of that; every college no matter what major requires SAT 1.
To get rid of useless courses, take Math 2 and concentrate very hard on it. The purpose of SAT 2 tests is to place out of those boring intro classes first semester. Given your intended major and program, math is the least of your worries so it’s best to get rid of it now.
If you are taking AP exams, then SAT 2 tests are useless.
Always contact your intended university to find out what requirements are needed to get in, both to the school and to your major.
It doesn’t work like that.
They’re really not interchangable. The SAT I is a standard admissions test that you should take. It’s a broad survey of your reasoning abilities and verbal skills.
There are actually several SAT II tests (also known as SAT Subject Tests) to choose from, such as many different language tests, a few science tests, two math tests, and English test, and some social studies tests. They’re each an hour long, and you can take up to three at a time in one sitting, which you get to pick ahead of time. You should pick some of your strongest school subjects and take the SAT II in those areas to boost your application strength.
