the main thing is to look at the company and other positions there. is this a company you would want to work for long term and is there other positions that are desirable to you there that are more fit to your education. if yes, then take the job with the expectation that once you get your foot in the door and prove your competence you can get promoted or transferred to another position. unfortunately the job market is oversaturated with educated applicants and getting a good job right away is going to be hard. so find the company you want to work for and take any job there, work hard, get promoted.

Try going to Madison Ave and getting a job in advertising.

I, too, have a bachelor’s in psychology. Got it in 1992 and have found out its only worth in the job hunting field is that it enables one to say they have a college education. Beyond that it is pretty worthless.

If you think you meet the qualifications, then apply for the job. You’ll only find out when you apply. Never heard of a diploma in mass communication, is that a college degree diploma or a certificate from a community college class or study class? Have you thought about going back for a MS in Psyc? We hire MS psychologists, and we also hire 4 year psyc degreed people, some who go to school at a local college to get their masters while working. Have you ever considered? But definately go for that job, sounds like you’d be great, be more outgoing!
