I need some fast help for a question about the History of Psychology?
Question by Ann C: I need some fast help for a question about the History of Psychology?
Wundt’s Voluntarism and Titchener’s Structuralism had relatively short lives as schools of psychology. Why?
Even if you just help with one it’s ok. =)
I appreciate any answers. But only if you’re sure. Please don’t just put anything.

Here a couple thoughts:
Both approaches didn’t provide consistent results and consistency is a must for any scientific research (think of how important reliability is for any research study). Wundt’s subjects often gave very different responses.
Neither Wundt’s nor Titchener’s studies provided any practical/usable information. This was particularly a problem in the US where we value practical information (we tend to have a “What can I DO with this?)
Hope this helps!
