Maria Montessori contributed the idea of how children learned. Before her time, children used adult sized furniture, and they could not be independent. Maria Montessori learned from experiments that leaving items for the children at their level in containers they could access helped them to explore independently. She also believed that children should be able to have furniture that was at their height instead of using items such as chairs that they were too small for. Montessori revolutionized how children learn, and her model is the standard for quality learning today.

Not quite sure what you’re asking here exactly. Montessori’s philosophy is built entirely on Psychological Development. Many of the advances in Early Childhood Education (and even education in general) have come from her ideas and she had a big influence on many famous people who are influential in educational psychology, including Piaget.
