How good are the benefits of teaching line today?
My daughter has completed her 12th. She is keen to do Teacher’s training. But she is not sure how would that be vis-a-vis
other professional courses as far as salary and perks are concerned. I feel it will be a comfortable job for her, which also included 2 months of paid leave and suitable timings. She had taken Humanities (History, Psychology, Eco, English and Home Sc) in 12th. Which other courses would be good for her?

The benefits widely differ based on the district and type of school you teach in. In my district there are 30 elementary schools and 3 high schools. That means we have more employees so our rates on insurance are cheap. In the last district i taught in they only had one elementary school and one high school. There were not a lot of employees so the rates were very high. The profession is weel worth it, as long as you don’t plan on becoming rich… You have to teach because you love the job…
