Get to Know Your Kid

Get to Know Your Kid

These days, parents barely remember to take the time to record the whimsical and wonderful things their children say. Get to Know Your Kid allows parents to capture the innocence, the wisdom, and the joy of childhood in one easy step.

One hundred questions are specifi cally designed to encourage young children to open up and share their thoughts, hopes, fears, and dreams. Geared toward children aged four to ten, and prepared with the help of two child and adolescent psychologists, fun questions include “What do you like best about our family?” and “What do you think it will feel like to be an adult?” With each question, there is room to write in children’s answers, or have older kids write for themselves, giving parents a memorable keepsake to cherish forever.

Praise for Get to Know Your Kid:

“Get to Know Your Kid is the best idea I have seen in a long time. It will change your relationship with your children for the better and give you insight into who they are and the world THEY live in.”

My children range in age from 14-8. Looking back (especially with the 14 year-old) there are things that I wish I had written down. This book is a great way to take a snapshot of a child’s thoughts, no matter what their age. The book poses 100 questions and has space to write down answers. I was really impressed when my children (yes, all three) immediately took off the clever sticker on the cover to personalize their book. This book has been a lot of fun for me, in that my children are saying things that I never imagined. And it has been fun for them as well (doesn’t everyone like to talk about themselves?). I highly recommend this book. It is a great way to remember your children…in writing!

I absolutely LOVE this book!!! Get to Know Your Kid has given me a way to start meaningful conversations with my children. I am the mother of three small children and am often so busy I rarely sit down with each child and just talk (and more importantly …listen). The kids are sooo excited for me to ask them questions and their answers amaze me. I am going to buy more for different stages of their lives so we can look back when they are grown and really remember who they were and what they were like as children!!!! Love it!!!!!!

As a father of 2 daughters under 10 years of age in a 2-working parent family, I’ll take all the help I can get…and this book certainly delivers. I appreciate this author’s efforts to help those of us who are committed to the notion of getting to know your kid but often times find ourselves overlooking the most basic and often camophlaged opportunities to do so. This book met my wife and I where we needed to be met…we found it challenging and affirming at the same time. Many thanks for a fantastic and thoughtful book…we recommend it highly.
