does reverse psychology work when trying to talk a friend out of suicide?

Question by andy Anderson: does reverse psychology work when trying to talk a friend out of suicide?
yeah because i kind of did something today that i am not proud of because one of my friends passed away and everyone keeps saying it was my fault. i think they should make awareness ads for not trying reverse psychology when someone is on top of a building saying he was going to jump. i thought he would respond to reverse psychology but i guess i was totally wrong. what should i do?

Seriously? If what you say is true, then you need help. You can’t use reverse psychology on mentally I’ll people. It will backfire. When faced with someone in a situation like that you should get professional help for them.

IF you are trolling its just totally NOT funny

you should never call someones bluff when they are suicidal, you will always end up losing… if they then do it you have the guilt and if they don’t you still end up the bad guy. what you did is horrendous. but at the end of the day you did not push him off the roof or MAKE him jump, its still his choice and ultimately his own responsibility.
