Could someone help me find a topic for a research proposal for Psychology Statistics?

My instuctor has a few stipulations though, could someone please help? I haven’t a clue on what to do as an experiment. This is 40% of my grade!
The student must NOT use Person’s r for correlation, nor the independent t test. The concepts ‘attenders’ and ‘abstainers’ may not be used either. The focus of the proposal should be a causal relation based upon a hypothestical continuous data set. Notice, no calculations need be done, as a proposal is a description of an experiment the student would like to do.
I was thinking about doing something about nursing, since I am a nurse. Something like is the average burnout time greater for a nurse in the ICU setting with 2 pts or on a med-surg floor with up to 6-8pts? Something like that..

You could think about perusing crime statistics which are available to the public.

After analyzing the numbers, try to come up with a simple evaluation with a slight twist to the data which is not being reported, but can be discerned from the information presented.

For example, You could discover that the number of underage female offenders who commit felonies may have risen in the last two years.
