This is a great book for anyone studying Child Development or Early Childhood Education. I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

Worst text book ever, June 27, 2011

I had to buy this textbook for a class, and hated it. It was so abbreviated that you could not find enough actual content. Everyone in the class had to resort to finding online sources, and using other old textbooks to find all the detailed information that had been removed from this book. Piaget was limited to a few pages. if you did not already have a firm knowledge base and were taking a child development class using this book as a primary source, you would not be educated or prepared to enter into teaching.

In addition the author had numerous personal biases, and tried to pass them off as factual ( bottle feeding is just as good as breast milk for example). This was a horrible book.

Bought this for my daughter for her first semester. She hasn’t complained about it, so I’ll give it 5 stars. Great that it has the review cards and the accessories that came with it.
