I’m a little skeptical about the ones that are on eBay for $20-50 right now, since most of them only give a picture of the assembled models, so I don’t have a good idea of how they’re disassembled or labeled or how accurate they are. I’m taking a Psychopharmacology class and, for a test in a week or so, we’re going over the anatomy. Even if I don’t get the model before the test, it’d be a good thing for me to have to study over the rest of the Summer semester and for future reference. My instructor says these things can cost anywhere from $200-$1000, which I don’t doubt (some of the better ones on eBay right now cost within that range), but I’m a student on a student’s budget. I would…. Click Here to Read More

so here’s my situation in a nutshell: i was enrolled at Arizona but last minute withdrew my enrollment because i was under 18 at the time and could not get a co-signer on a loan due to some bad credit that my dad accumulated with divorce lawyer fees and all that good stuff…anyway i took 3 classes at community college (composition, chemistry, & calculus-don’t remember the class numbers) but anyway to make a long story short it drove me bat-shit crazy and i dropped one class and got so frustrated with the other two that i didn’t even bother to drop them and just stopped showing up about halfway thru the semester. It’s not that I don’t want to learn (thats one of the VERY few things i…. Click Here to Read More

i get the impression that my husbands brother may be a wee bit jealous of my success, is this possible? I have just finished my msc in the psychopharmacology of addictive behaviours and will be going on to do a phd. I get on fine with my bro in laws wife, she has a cute baby boy and is a house wife although she does the odd shift at lidl, she was unable to complete her gcses due to personal problems. She has just started private gcse tuition even though she hasnt got any qualifications, and my bro in law is boasting about it to everyone, especially me. Theres nothing to boast about, its illegal since she hasnt got her gcses and is lying to her students. It also kinda makes me mad because…. Click Here to Read More

I am really interested in this type of occupation. I love the idea of incorporation science and medicine to help actual people through their illness and mental problems. I just have a few questions to work out though, specifically for the psychiatrists working now. How long was it until you had a job? Is it hard to get certified? What subfields are there? Does your job/is there one, that deals with the effects of certain drugs on the person?i.e. psychopharmacology? Does biology play a huge role in your job? Do I major in psychology? Please include anything else I should know. Can you go through a typical day as…. Click Here to Read More

I’m working on a presentation for a Psychopharmacology class, and am wondering what a good (non-Wikipedia) source is to get information about the pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics of GHB. – How is it administered? I’ve only found that it’s orally-administered as a liquid; can it come in pill form? Can it be injected? Is there a patch? (I’m focusing more on its illicit uses, but clinical/therapeutic uses are obviously a must-cover, too) – How is it absorbed? I take it if it’s administered orally, then it’s probably absorbed in the stomach or the gastrointestinal tract, right? If so, what are some of the details? If there are alternative means of administration (like I mentioned above:…. Click Here to Read More

Im not just talking about pharmacutical companies, Im talking about the medicince world in general. Im 19, I work as a pharmacy tech in two hospitals, and I am planning to go into psychopharmacology, (the study of medications effects and behavior on the brain). Many people have looked down on that, basically saying its like a tobacco company, its corrupted. Now, I do agree that pharmacutial companies are VERY greedy, and i think its horrible that they create medications that have harmed so many people, (from personal experience from someone in my family). I also agree, that people are depending on pills to help them with everything. From ADD, to pain, to helping lose cellulite, to even…. Click Here to Read More

Is the sacking of Mr.Nutt, the head, Bristol University’s Psychopharmacology unit, by British home secretary Mr Alan Johnson justified; Mr.Nutt recommended to classify cannabis and ecstasy by lesser degree than alcohol and tobacco. How the government could miss the point that more prevalent younger generation’s immorality/degeneration is more damaging by alcohol and tobacco and future healthier society in the UK? Mr Alan said Mr Nutt should have recommended through the panel he held in with the UK Government. My hypothesis (alternatively spelled hypotenuse) is that at least 80% of us are losers/failures in life. For me I am a failure because I’m not a professional NFL middle linebacker and I am an embarrassment to the memory of my late father as a result. I’m also a failure because of my profound fear of rattlesnakes, tornadoes, spiders and startling noises. For some guys, they are failures because they can’t get the quality of women they want for whatever reason. Either because of a lack of confidence, wealth or good looks. For ladies, they may be unattractive or obese and rather than accepting their failure, become modern Feminists to compensate for their lack of sex appeal and blame men…. Click Here to Read More
