Can anyone describe some good ways of facilitating age regression using hypnosis ?
I have a MS in psychology and have been offered the chance to join a private practice group. I used to use hypnosis and was wondering if there is some one who can describe some good ways of facilitating age regression. For you skeptics, I have seen this demonstrated on a person who was suddenly experiencing a negative feeling that was of an unknown origen. I hope this makes sense. But my question is not to convince skeptics, just the technique please. Answer only from a professor of psychology, licensed psychologist, psychiatrist. MSW, or Licensed Professional Counselor. And of course some training and use of this technique.

Using dream therapy….directed lucid dreaming can be very helpful.
Also, some people are still reacting to something which affected them in a previous life.
Reiki has been found to be very useful.
Any good university medical library would have several answers for you.
If you are waiting for someone with those credentials to come on here and give you a detailed answer, you may wait forever. I’ve used these techniques and they work. Good luck. xxx

Here is a technique I have used hundreds of times for age regression for any reason, but is very safe for patients who are dealing with troublesome feelings of an onknown origen. I call it the “affect bridge”. It is very simple, although it does not always work and be cautious of any person offering one that they claim always does. The patient is told in trance to let himself experience the feeling then and there, perhaps not in the full intensity, however. When the feeling is experienced, as confirmed by some signal from the patient, I say, “Hold on to that feeling. We will use a bridge to the past, and as I count backwards from ten you will travel backwards in time and space to the very first time you ever experienced that feeling. Ten, nine, eight, going back further and further, seven, etc.” This will usually get the patient back to a very specific time in his/her life. The specificity I reguest is “the very first time….” Since I generally do not know the exact time, or may not even know the approximate age at which something traumatic happened to the patient, this method is very handy and circumvents the need of other exploration to learn when the event ocurred prior to doing the age regression.
