I got three of these books by Liana Lowenstein and I find them very valuable in my therapy work with children and adolescents. I am a beginning therapist so I still rely heavily on resources like this to get the creative juices flowing. The only thing that is missing from this book, but present in the others, is a list in front that tells what the intervention is suitable for, suggested age range and treatment mode (individual, group or family).

As with Lowenstein’s other books, this book is an incredible resource for novice and experienced practitioners alike. A compilation of activities from over 50 practitioners, the book is both well organized and extremely user-friendly. I highly recommend this resource to any mental health professional who works with children, adolescents, and families.

Liana’s material is super! It is so comprehensive in scope. There is something here for everyone! It is easy to use and adapt for any client. Liana’s materials are user-friendly and client-friendly at the same time. I also found them to extremely clinically sound and helpful in my play therapy and CBT use!

I am a MSW student – and my internship this year is in an elementary school… great activities to help me help the kids and parents! I like this author.
