If 1.000.000 people watch your 20 second video of a funny cat, there will always be some people who click the ad. Always. That’s how advertising online works.

Something I’ve never understood is: what is the mentality behind making us watch ads here on Youtube? Financially I can understand it perfectly, but do they seriously think that interrupting a playlist, for example, will make us want to buy their product? Ads are annoying enough as is, and Youtube is the last place you want to find un-skipable ones.
I’m sorry, but Youtube isn’t the new TV, it’s not going to replace TV, and if you think it will then well… there’s just no hope for you.

Advertising is the application of psychology to build a brand’s “goodwill” – stop being so glum about everything.

Hello, I’m sure many people have found this video, like me, who are looking for advice on how to advertise their business. I offer home remodeling services and simply need to find enough clients to support a steady income.

Think of marketing as a way that companies inform the public about what they have to offer. That’s it. And even my ability to convey my message in a more appealing, funny, etc. way than a competitor – that’s just another valid signal of my credibility that I aspire for.

I really like your comment! Tell me how becoming a hermit ends up. If you don’t become a hermit on YouTube, that is :)

I recently decided to become a recluse/hermit- it’s the only escape from the ceaseless torrent of modern marketing BS.

Relationships with females are pointless- cosmetics, clothes, food, books, films, holidays, weddings, childcare accessories- ALL women’s lives are zombie mind-controlled by the marketing industry.

I’ve tried community action & charity work, but all organisations are now packed full of marketers paid stupid amounts to organise nauseating campaigns to ‘raise awareness’. ENOUGH!

Not A Thing makes you happy… Nothing makes you happy. Happiness is internal… brief ups from shopping are not long lived. Hence shopaholics.

this is a very informative video about advertising. It shows how advertising is made for us consumer to change our view of the product and buy it immediately without analyzing whether we really need it or not.
